Senior Manager, Political Accounts

So where does this job come in? We're looking for someone to help manage and oversee multiple political accounts and initiate complex and innovative digital strategies to help campaigns win in 2017.

You think digital first. You’ve accepted the fact that the internet is here to stay. Facebook, Twitter, Email, CPM, CRM, CTR, CPA are not foreign concepts to you. In fact, they’re your jam and putting them together in a full-scale, multi-platform digital campaign is what you do.

You see the big picture. You like to think about strategy and focus on the cohesiveness of an online campaign. Connecting the dots is what you thrive on. Integrating email marketing, online advertising, social networks, and your website just seems right.

You like to solve problems. You don’t shy away from a challenge and you thrive in the unknown. Our clients come in all shapes and sizes and each of their challenges is unique. You should be prepared to come to work everyday ready to tackle the next big thing.

You like to stay organized. You’ll be juggling different parts of comprehensive digital strategies for top-tier political clients. Keeping yourself organized internally while managing clients is a crucial aspect to providing proactive and exceptional work for our political campaigns.

Here is what you’ll be responsible for in this position:

  • Working directly with political campaigns and organizations to execute a comprehensive digital strategy across all platforms
  • Producing and proactively pitching comprehensive digital strategy for top tier clients in the political space
  • Manage internal teams on all aspects of a digital campaign, including ownership of timelines, project materials, documents, assets, reports, meetings, etc.
  • Build engaging online creative including advertisements, social content, and emails

The ideal candidate must have the following skills:

  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Interest in politics and current events
  • Experience in account management and managing internal teams
  • Knowledge of social networks, new media technologies, online advertising platforms, email marketing, website development, and online fundraising
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines while juggling several requests and projects
  • Be willing to work late hours and occasionally on the weekend
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Must be able to work in Old Town Alexandria (Washington DC area)

These skills are not required, but would certainly be a bonus:

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite products such as Photoshop
  • Experience with online advertising (Facebook, Google, etc,)
  • Understanding of WordPress
  • Basic HTML/CSS experience
