So where does this job come in? We’re looking for a content creator to work with a team dedicated to supporting issue advocacy and brand marketing efforts of a Fortune 50 business.

You see the big picture. You like to think about strategy and focus on the cohesiveness of an online campaign. Connecting the dots is what you thrive on. Integrating email marketing, online advertising, social networks, and your website just seems right.

You like to solve problems. You don’t shy away from a challenge and you thrive in the unknown. Our clients come in all shapes and sizes and each of their challenges is unique. You should be prepared to come to work everyday ready to tackle the next big thing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm, author and proofread marketing collateral for web, email, advertising and social
  • Write copy to assist a robust email acquisition campaign that includes advertising across multiple mediums
  • Write copy that supports a content marketing campaign across multiple mediums with the dual purpose of retaining a captured audience and generating new organic traffic through targeted SEO
  • Write email, ad and landing page copy to persuade readers to become political advocates on behalf of a Fortune 25 business
  • Read news clips and research client issues
  • Translate complex political problems into simple, actionable pieces of creative
  • Review reporting data daily to inform current and future creative
  • Manage search engine optimization (SEO) content of select pages
  • Handle multiple projects at once and meet aggressive deadlines

Job Requirements

  • Three or more years experience in copywriting/advertising with different styles and tones for different audiences
  • Proven track record of embracing data (A/B testing, etc.) to improve content and copy quality over time
  • Understanding of email marketing
  • Understanding of online advertising
  • (Preferred) Experience writing content marketing creative
  • (Preferred) Experience in political or non-profit digital fundraising
  • (Preferred) Experience with search engine optimization (SEO)
  • (Preferred) Understanding of Wordpress
  • A portfolio that includes examples of professionally published creative
  • Must be able to work in Old Town Alexandria (Washington D.C. area)
  • For this job, must be a U.S. Citizen
